7/13/2007
An Interview with James Gunn by Cinezombi
I was able to ask James Gunn (Tromeo and Juliet, Dawn of the Dead 2004, and Slither) some questions about future projects and other likes and dislikes. While he couldn't answer much on his future projects due to other agreements. He did disclose that he is currently working on a TV Pilot with Lloyd Kaufman. I will let you know when that info comes avaliable.

CZ: Is there any plans of a Dawn of the Dead 2? If so, is Zack Snyder going to be any part of it?
JG: There is no sequel planned with me or anyone else, right now. Zack and I spent a day together discussing it and I just didn't want to do it. Zack lost energy shortly after. So you know, We were going to keep Ana and Kenneth alive. Then kill Ana off in the first scene.
CZ: Was Night of the Creeps any inspiration for Slither?
JG: No, I never even seen Night until after filming Slither. But, We had the same inspirations as Night. Shivers, Night Of The Living Dead, and The Blob
CZ: Is There any plans of a Slither 2?
JG: No Slither 2 in the near future.
CZ: Knowing of your work with Lloyd Kaufman. Is there any plans of working with Troma again?
JG: Lloyd and I are working on a TV Pilot together, so it is possible.
CZ: What is your favorite Horror Film?
JG: Rosemary's Baby and John Carpenter's The Thing
CZ: Being a fan of zombies yourself, What is your favorite Zombie film?
JG: I really love Edgar Wright's Shaun Of The Dead.
